A Place to Serve

Being a part of the church means that we each find a place to serve. God has gifted every believer with gifts and talents to build up the church. Not sure what your place is? That's ok. We'll help you find it!  Some of our ministry opportunities are listed below. When you're ready to get started, see the ministry team leader or speak with Pastor Kathy. God wants to use you in His Kingdom!

  • Worship Ministry

The worship ministry leads us into God's presence with praise and gratitude. The praise team is made up of talented musicians and singers of all ages. (Auditions are required.) Our ushers help with offerings and other needs in the sanctuary. The media team ensures the service flows smoothly with audio, lighting, projection and recording. To be a part of this team, contact Allen Tack.

  • The Faith Store

The Faith Store is a fair trade boutique that offers products from around the world made by people overcoming poverty, addiction and human trafficking. Every purchase helps others work towards a better way of life.  Volunteers help staff the store, ship or deliver purchased items, or work our booths at community events. The store is located within the church building and is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. Shopping is also available online at www.FaithStore.org.

  • Prayer Ministry

Mondays at 9:30 a.m., our prayer team meets to lift up requests from the community and our church. We sometimes follow that prayer meeting with prayer out in our community. Others pray throughout our Sunday morning services. We also encourage everyone to visit our prayer page to leave and lift up requests throughout the week. To be a part of this vital ministry, join us on Monday mornings, or contact Pastor Kathy.

  • Welcome team

An open door, refreshments and a welcoming smile all make a difference when someone visits our church. The Welcome team works together to greet people and make them feel at home. This team also coordinates our carry-in dinners. If you have a friendly face and a willing heart, you can join this team! Contact Susan Whitehead.

  • Serve Saturday

One Saturday a month, we head out to the community to serve those in need. You can join a team that does small home repairs, yard work or others activities, especially for senior citizens who are confined at home. We partner with Wilson County's SCAN (Senior Citizen Awareness Network) to discover needs that we can meet. Check out the weekly bulletin for information about upcoming Serve Saturdays. (Serve Saturdays have been halted temporarily due to covid. We look forward to bringing them back soon!)

  • Compassionate Hands

Compassionate Hands is a joint effort of churches in Wilson County to provide food and shelter to our homeless community. We help throughout the year at the Center for Hope and Renewal in Lebanon to screen and welcome guests and meet other needs as they arise. You can be a part of this ministry be helping with registration, set-up or clean-up, providing food, doing laundry or staying overnight (in Winter months) at the men's or women's shelter. Contact Allen Tack if you would like to help.

  • Special events

Throughout the year we host various events, either at the Impact Center or out in the community. It takes a lot of help to put these events on. From setup to cleanup, and everything in between - there's a place for you to serve on the Events team. Contact Pastor Kathy to see how you can get involved.
